With gratitude to our Heavenly Father, we are today announcing the suspension of the mask-wearing mandate at all HOPE Christian Schools in the City of Milwaukee beginning March 1. Scholars and staff who prefer to continue wearing a protective mask may do so. We will continue to require proper handwashing protocol and hand sanitation gel will still be made available to our students and staff. We ask any scholars or staff who feel ill and are running a fever not to report to school.
We will be forever grateful to our parents and staff who have been, over the two years of the pandemic, understanding and patient as we successfully followed the mandates set down by the CDC and local health departments to protect our scholars, staff, and visitors on our campuses from infection with COVID 19.
It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Ms. Angela Hamilton as the Principal at HOPE Christian High School for the 2021-22 academic year. Ms. Hamilton earned her bachelor’s degree with honors from Marquette University, two master’s degrees in educational leadership from Viterbo University and Wisconsin Lutheran College, and she recently met the requirements to be awarded a certified administrator’s license from the Department of Public Instruction. Before being appointed high school principal, Ms. Hamilton served as director of instruction, interim assistant principal, and interim principal at HOPE Christian High School.
Ms. Hamilton has been a professional educator for nineteen years, having begun her career as a middle school ELA teacher. She is a tireless worker who supports her teachers and staff using high quality coaching and data-driven decision-making. Her commitment to the academic, social, and spiritual growth of all scholars at the high school is readily apparent in the culture of the high school.
We believe that Ms. Hamilton has the knowledge and skills to lead a new high school staff to create a new urgency and excitement at the high school resulting in highly engaged scholars who, with the help of their teachers, will reach their dreams.
It is with extreme pleasure that I announce the hire of Ms. Casandra Delgado as the fulltime principal of HOPE Christian School-Via in Racine. Ms. Delgado has been serving as interim principal since December with the departure of previous principal, Katie Lambert. I have been very pleased with Ms. Delgado’s leadership of her staff, her ability to build a strong and welcoming culture within the school, and her management of the daily logistics needed to effectively run a safe and successful school.
Ms. Delgado has served the students and families of HOPE-Via for a number of years as the previous dean of instruction and dean of students. Before that, she was a classroom teacher, so she understands the importance of providing both academic, spiritual, and character-building instruction to students in an atmosphere of love and care.
I hope you will join me in welcoming Ms. Delgado to her new position, and I am sure she will continue her passionate commitment to the HOPE-Via family.
