Dr. Kristen Reed is a seasoned and passionate educational leader with over 25 years of experience in K–12 education. She is widely respected for her ability to foster strong relationships, cultivate inclusive school cultures, and implement data-informed strategies that drive student achievement and staff growth.
Most recently, Dr. Reed served as Principal at Central City Cyberschool in Milwaukee, where she led school improvement initiatives and managed operations for a diverse student population. Her leadership is defined by transparent communication, strategic planning, and a deep commitment to supporting both students and educators.
Throughout her career, Dr. Reed has held principal positions at several Wisconsin schools, including Racine Unified School District, Destiny High School, and Capitol West Academy. In these roles, she championed curriculum innovation, built strong community partnerships, and mentored instructional teams toward excellence. She also served as Human Resources Director for the Whitnall School District, where she expanded her leadership reach by advancing employee relations and strengthening workplace culture.
Dr. Reed began her career as an English teacher in Milwaukee Public Schools, where her dedication earned her the “Teacher of the Year” award in 1998. She holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Cardinal Stritch University.
A member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Dr. Reed remains deeply committed to promoting excellence, equity, and engagement in all educational environments. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Urban Preparatory Academy, a teen outreach program dedicated to empowering youth in urban communities.
